David is the son of former BGFM Global missionaries Dale & Carol Johnson, and was saved at an early age. Connie is Brazilian, and came to Christ through the ministry of missionaries to her hometown in her early teens. Both soon began serving the Lord in their own locations, but first met in 1974. They were married June 5, 1976, choosing Psalm 126:3 as their wedding verse, “The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.”  David and Connie were accepted as missionaries with BGFM Global in September 1977, and arrived in Brazil October 1978.

MINISTRY GOALS

Goals at their Camocim ministry were to solidify the few remaining church members, heal wounds after a crisis; establish a strong base for local servant leadership; promote discipleship relationships among believers; reach out with evangelistic projects in different parts of town and outlying areas; and prepare the church to once again call a Brazilian pastor.

We praise the Lord for restoring the church in Camocim, and providing a dedicated and competent pastor to lead them. It was a special blessing to meet many who first heard the Word by means of David's radio program years ago. David & Connie are motivated by Paul’s strong challenge in I Corinthians 15:34, "...some do not have the knowledge of God." You are invited to uphold them in prayer, touching lives in Brazil with the Gospel of Christ, training others for effective service in the local church. They deeply appreciate your prayers and support. Please read their current prayer letter by clicking the link (see above).
